To Bahar, art is a "vivid" experience to "Thatness", or "An" in Farsi. "Vividan" is to be present at that vivid moment of expression, as Bahar likes to interpret it and likes her art to be; It's life and love in their dance of colors.
Baharak Amanzadeh, called as "Bahar", was born and raised in Iran, and moved to the U.S. in 2000. Persian Calliography, with all of its curves and harmony, was among her childhood experiences of art and has had a predominant effect on her work. She went to dental school, worked as a dentist for sometime and recently got involved in Public Health, but creative artistic trainings and outlets have alwayd been the highlight of her life. One of her projects is to work on renarrating and illustrating some of the Persian tales. She lives in Berkeley with her inspiring daughter.
